Adoption Orientation
Adults only please. Childcare will not be provided.
This is the first step in the adoption process and is one of the requirements for adopting a child through Sunrise. Information will be provided regarding the requirements for adopting through Sunrise Children's Services. There will be time for questions and answers and the opportunity to explore the adoption options available through Sunrise. This orientation is provided free of charge. Attendees will be under no obligation to continue the adoption process through Sunrise Children's Services.

Prospective Adoptive Parent and Foster to Adopt Preparation Class

Training and preparation classes are a vital part of becoming adoptive parents. This class is a requirement for families adopting through Sunrise Children's Services. There is a non-refundable $600.00 down payment on your home study due prior to the first class meeting. Please be sure that your check has your name, address and phone number as well as a notation to indicate that this is your homestudy downpayment.

Directions to Sunrise :
From the Gene Snyder Freeway (I-265) take the Bardstown Road exit south towards Bardstown. It is approximately seven miles to Mt. Washington. Once you enter Mt. Washington, you will go through a traffic signal at State Route 44 (there will be a Walgreens Drug Store on your left). After the traffic signal, the road will narrow to one lane each direction. After the road narrows, at the bottom of the hill, take your first left onto Hope Street. The Ministry Support Building will be the first building on the left.
